Off to Berlin...
We stayed in this Cottage style home that was a little closer to Berlin from where we live. There were only about 6 or 7 rooms and the German woman that owned it did not speak any English. (I am about to learn a little German soon.)It was made very clear they were very conservative about saving energy & costs. Everytime we'd walk out of a room, the light was turned off in that room. And so on with other guests. It was very dark & felt a little different since outside we heard thunder & lightning when we pulled into the drive. This was shortly after our GPS sent us into the middle of the woods-a lil' scary! It actually felt kinda like the twilight zone...
But by the next morning especially at breakfast, it ended up feeling very cozy. Alex & Izzy got to see rabbits they kept in a pin, Alex watched her feed some beautiful fish in a large pond they made. The yard was absolutely gorgeous! I was very envious of her yard as I have become a huge plant lover!!!
